Final Entry
I have decided that this is my final blog entry. When I began this blog it was because I had a number of things written that I knew weren’t quite book quality but that I wanted to get “out there”. I embarrassingly admit that I had originally hoped that this experience would be more successful than it has been, but as I somewhere along the way discovered that as I continued to write something much more important emerged. This blog became a form of public accountability to work through numerous questions I had. At first those questions were about the institutionalized church, but as I continued it moved toward my relationship with Christianity. At times it took the form of a review of literature, a philosophical position paper, and a journal entry. I never really felt the need to formalize what it was too much. Sometime last year though I was beginning to run out of things that I needed to “process”. I landed on a deep appreciation for the ambiguous and paradoxical. I began to safely identify myself as a blend between evangelical and atheist. I then began to write on things that I just wanted to clarify. It was at that point that I started losing interest in blogging. It was clear that I wasn’t going to ever be a “successful” blogger or writer and that I didn’t need the accountability anymore. So I think I am done for awhile. Thanks to anyone who has ever read or at least checked out my blog.
